Julie Ceuterick wins the youth cross by the Kadodderloop, 3rd and 4th grade girls.

We have athletic kids and we are very proud of them! Yesterday it was very quiet in the centre of St-Katelijne-Waver. No cars allowed, just sports fans. From our grandkids we had three participants Thibeau, Nathalie and Julie and they have done a great result. But Julie was really unbelievable... She not only won her child level series, but she ran very well along the 3 km as well…, where everyone, male or female, young or old, came at the start. Julie was obviously one of the youngest participants, and still finished in the top 50 of more than 150 participants.
Mieke, her sister just got 11 years old on June 1, and Julie got 10 years old on Monday, June 7. Tonight there will be a big celebration. But Julie wouldn’t be a real granddaughter of the Ceulemans’family if she wouldn’t take a bet by time to time. Tonight the 12 grandchildren run around the Fort of St-Katelijne-Waver, about 1.8 km. When Julie gets there as first, she received 50 euro of Granddad Jos.
I suspect that they will be fighting for it… We hope she makes it!
While our children are running, we continue to follow the results of our riders. We are pleased that our Belgian riders are making some strong results in Vimeiro, Portugal. On the opening day Jerome Guery with Waldo wins the qualification class for the Grand Prix and also Gregory Wathelet won a class with Willem Van Het Janshof. Patrik got a 5th place in the 1m40 class with Wrangler, Rik Hemeryck and Bono were even better they ended fourth.
On Saturday, Whitney gets a rest and Centro will jump the big class in stead. Wrangler will be jumping the speed class, while Centro Z will be jumping in the artificial light the 6-bar class tonight.
