Butterfly uses her wings in the 1m50 class, one unlucky mistake.

The plan for Patrik was to ride the speed derby on Saturday. A 1m40 class directly on time with a few derby fences. The reality was different. The derby was cancelled and the only class that was still possible to ride on Saturday with Centro and Butterfly was the 1.45m class with jump-off. A class of 20.000€ and counts for the FEI ranking. It seemed straight away that it was a big 1m50 class and a difficult task for the 2 horses that don’t have some much experience on this level.
Centro had some faults but you keep on sitting safe on him because power he has enough, that’s not a problem! But then the little Butterfly… In advance we had already discussed that Patrik would give up if the course gets too difficult for her. We want to be able to continue to enjoy a horse like Butterfly. But she was in good form and got one unlucky mistake on the simplest vertical of the whole course. We’re incredible happy with her performance! Euros we didn’t win in this round but we have won a good feeling once again.
Where today many euros can be taken is in Estoril. Let us hope that Judy Ann and Jos Lansink can also leave the ring with a very good feeling! Currently the Belgium rider who’s in really good form in Wiener Neustadt is definitely Gregory Wathelet. He already won an earlier 1m40 class and is currently also firmly in the lead in the 1m50 class with Copin vd Broy. We hope that it also may happen today.
