The show in Heist-op-den-Berg was a very nice competitions for us.A lot of people we know quite good to support us, nice atmosphere and a real family outing because it was the first time that Patrick could join us for a whole day. Our sons Thibeau and Marnick were super motivated and did it all clear ( Marnick with Valesca and Mini-sherlock, Thibeau with Kroeli, Paco and Queeny).
They rode in the beginners-classes, nice to see.
We were also looking forward to the perfomances of our nephews Jeroen and Jorgen and niece Mieke in the higher classes.
There it was already against the time.
And fast it went. In the B-light classes Jorgen won 4 times in a row with Obelix. It went really fast and clear, but the girls were quicker today. Victory stayed in Heist-op-den-Berg with Emily Adams and Beauty, and on the second place Liese Bos, and on the 5th place our niece Mieke Ceuterick with Xander. Jorgen was also very happy with his 3rd place with Obelix. Earlier that day he already won the D-light class with Eclipse. He left his brother Jeroen behind him. Jeroen was second with Amethist.
And then we looked forward again to the higher level, the class D-middle. Jeroen already won 3 times with Orchid's Bolero. He got placed for the jump off with Flor vd Mispelaer and Bolero. With Flor he had one down. But with Bolero everything went like he wanted and he got his 4th victory of the day with his 7 year old Bolero. Together Bolero and Jeroen are 20 years old, still very young and very succesfull. Very nice.
After the price -giving ceremony Jeroen had to go back into the ring. This time for dressage. It was already 3 or 4 years ago but the team of Kontich won the highest level. A really nice perfomance for the Club of Kontich and congratulations at the whole team and the team-chief Bart Malisart. Jeroen did the demonstration together with Dimme D'haese (brother from 4 in row Brent) and 6 ladies from Kontich. "When will we be able to see this again" was the reaction of one of the team-chefs. Hopefully they won't have to wait 4 more years again.
Sunday we go again with the ponies. Then we will be heading towards Wuustwezel.
Patrick won't be able to make it because he will be competing in Beervelde. The FLANDERS HORSE EVENT starts on Thursday with the Grand Prix on the first of August. We send our supporters already direction Beervelde, that's for sure.
Our heavy support Granddad Jos had to cool off Sundayevening after a few bets and challenges....
