Always stay calm, time for Flor!

Ourselves are always trying to give the best example to the youth witch is not always easy. If it gets a bit more difficult, stay calm! If a fault falls in the final of that Belgian Championships and you miss the Championships for that it shouldn’t be a disaster! To bad then but there will be a next time…..
Uletta had one fault in the final of the Belgian Championships for young horses in Gesves. Uletta wants to jump clear and has the scoop for it and still has her whole life to prove that.
But in the end we like to win and that is something we want to pass on! For Patrick there were some places of honour this weekend, like a 3rd place in the 1m35 class with Wrangler in Neeroeteren, a 7th and a 8th place for Rapsody DH and Cyber van Vrijhern in the 1m40 class but no victories this time.

There was a victory for our nephew Jeroen De Winter at the LRV competition in Tielen. This time not with Bolero, he had one fault at fence number one, but Flor did it! The whole year already he had every time a bit of bad luck but this time only good luck! He left a few combinations behind him and they were with 11 in the jump off. The second place was for Stef Bossaert from Broechem.
Earlier that day Jorgen thought that the had won with Obelix but he forgot about the quick Marie Sebrechts with Billy She made him go to the 2nd place with Obelix and Cisse to the 3rd place with Asterix. And let it be now that Asterix and Obelix were bread by the same owner. Nice to see them competing against each other. If only ponies could talk….

This week we’re looking forward to the show in Villvoorde. A Gold League competition organised by the team that used to organise the International show in Meise. We’re looking forward to it and will be present!
This weekend there’s also the International competition in Royan! Last year Patrick won the Grand Prix over there with Red Star. This year Philippe Lejeune, Gudrun Patteet and Rik Hemeryck will be competing in Royan.
There’re some important shows coming up for the Belgians and let us hope that they’re prepared for it! We stay close to home but next month will be far away for home!

The team for Calgary is official now: Maurice Van Roosbroeck, Rik Hemeryck, Niels Bruynseels and Patrick will be competing for the Belgians colours.
Also Niels Bruynseels stays close to home this weekend and for good reasons! He’s getting married with Ellen Van Turnhout this Saturday! Congratulations!
