Patrik & Withney, 7th in the Grand Prix of CSI**** Caen.

Patrick Spits had a difficult start in Caen but Withney made the weekend!
On saturday he still had to qualify himself for the Grand Prix and for that he had to go in the ring as first rider.
A nice clear round without taking to many risks to make his qualification for the Grand Prix a fact!
That was good enough in the end for a 7th place, the qualification by the 40 best riders was a fact!

In the Grand Prix Patrick was the 7th rider to qualify for the jump off, in the end they were with 10.
When he came in the ring for the jump off, there were already 5 riders clear. At that time there's only one thing to do and that's to try to beat the time of the others! His time was really not that bad but one bad distance on a vertical and 4 points were given.
After that not one rider did it clear anymore only Gianni Govonni did it a bit quicker with also 4 points.

For a 7the place we would've liked to sign in front, but once you're in the jump off you want more! We're very happy with Withney. She can do it, she wants it, and she did it again!

The Grand Prix of Caen stays in France for Florian Angot ( Made in Semilly).
The Grand Prix of 's Gravenwezel stays in Belgium for Jan Vinckier. Good work!
Who also made some results this weekend is Jos Verlooy! He was also in Caen with the 7 year old Domino vd Middelstede (v. Thunder vd Zuuthoeve). Patrick said he rode the round of his life because Jos Verlooy rode the Grand Prix of the CSI** of Caen with only 1 time fault. So Jos became 9th and best belgian rider, at this young age (both rider and horse), that means already something. We've got some good juniors riders coming up in Belgium.
