Team of Cento Lano, winner of the Darco Cup - qualifier!!
Jumping by team, it's still something special. Today there were no less than 60 teams present in Hulsterlo for the qualification of the Darco Cup. Three descendants of a stallion make a team. The first rider has got to jump a 1.10m class, the second 1.20m class, and finally there is a 1.30m class on time.After the two first riders of each team (1.10m and 1.20m), there were still 17 teams with a blank score. In case of ex aequo scores, the time of the third rider would be important to select the 8 teams for the final in Mechelen.
Our teams of Heartbreaker (Don G and Versace Ruitershoeve) and Cento Lano (Cashmira and Belle de Brukom) stayed also clear till then. For the team of Cento Lano, our young rider Jonas Vervoort knew what to do. He was very fast and stayed clear all the way with Centolien DH Z. A time afterwards no one knew how to improve, so the team of Cento Lano are the winners of this Qualifier! Our nephew Jeroen De Winter wanted to also a fast round with Va-Vite. It's a pitty, that he didn't stay clear.. Those are the risks of the game.

Appointment in any case once again with these horses in Mechelen, during the Christmas Horse Show (26 till 30 December). We are really very proud on our stallion Cento Lano. We are also proud of all our employees, without them such a result would'nt be possible.
It's just a mixed feeling. The team has won. We are delighted that Jonas Vervoort came a few weeks ago to reinforce our team. It's his first victory, but we believe that it won'be the last one. Less good news is that today Jordy Oostvogels has done his last showjumping for our stable. He unfortunately leaves our stables. This victory is definitely a departure in beauty, and we wish Jordy only success in his future career.
The work of a chef d'equipe, it can not be underestimated. By the late change of Uletta to Belle, there were still comments. Would this be a wise decision, we were asked last night .. Had we not better chosen for the horse Dakar, it was suggested .. And yes indeed. Also Alexander Matthyssen and Dakar were recently succesful on 1.40m level. We promised next year to help to build a team around this Dakar. There will be more and more descendants of Cento Lano in the big sports. Not only the Belgian Champion Dylano is a son of Cento Lano. Last week, Katarina Offel won the 1.45m qualifier with Eden Dwerse Hagen (Cento Lano x Intermezzo). It was the qualification for the 1.45m Grand Prix of CSI ** Wierden. For a horse of 7 years old, it's quite impressive! Many offspring he has not, but it is fascinating to follow them.
This weekend we can follow Uletta, our 7-year-old daughter of Cento Lano, at the international CSI*** of Montpellier. We can now surely say that Cento Lano doens't give donkeys. Thanks to a photo of Babou Lafon, we figured out that Patrik is able to ride donkeys. Good to know, just in case.. The winners of the Grand Prix of Castres were invited for a donkey track. At that time, he ended on a beautiful 5th place with Euphony Cadjanine Z. This weekend, Cadjanine is also in Montpellier. If there is something similar to happen in Montpellier we do not know. We just hope that there will be some nice results and a good feeling with our horses this weekend. Results through the link.
