Opium de Salbris, winner of the national class for horses of 6 years old!

It was nice to stay in Belgium this weekend. We have got the opportunity to ride our young horses in Moerzeke.
Yesterday, there was a national 1.40m class, the Grand Prix.
Only 7 combinations in the jump off. With Rapsody, Patrik came so close, but one fault in the course.
Adagio vd Dwerse Hagen was jumping very good. In the jump off, it was just perfect, but then one fault on the last fence, 4th place. Joris Vergauwen was the winner of this national 1.40m class.
Today it started with the national class for horses of 6 years old. 240 horses in this class, so it 's not easy to win!
We are very happy, that we had today the luck to win the class with the approved stallion Opium de Salbris.
The owners (family Clément) came all the way from France to watch their horse, so nice!
Wim Vinckx was clear all the way with Catalano, and was 8th in the class.
Patrik tried with his other stallion Cyber van Vrijhern in the second phase. He was going really fast, but he had one fault...
With the mares Capri DH Z (f. Cento Lano) and Cadjanine Z (Cannabis Z) he was going not so fast in the second phase, and they had a very nice double clear round.

The last class of this weekend, was the class for the horses of 7 years old.
The grand prix-horses of next year. There are a lot of very good horses in this class.
26 clear rounds and qualified for the jump-off of the 57 combinations at the start.
One of them was Patrik with Belvedère vd Dwerse Hagen (Cento Lano).
Patrik was the 3th rider to do the jump off. He had seen Wilm Vermeir riding Bieke. They were clear round in a very short time of 41,08.
Patrik tried to do as good and as fast as Wilm, but it didn't work out. The time was good enough, but 8 penalty points.
The result of Wilm was good enough to be sure of the victory in this class.
Next week, Patrik and Wilm will be together in France, for the international showjumping of Lons-Le-Saunier.
Today, they showed us they are ready to go! Good luck, and let's hope we can hear the Brabançonne, national hymne of Belgium in France!
