Nephew Jorich Spits provincial champion Pony’s! Thibeau & Hightrick 2nd in style competition.
Where our son Thibeau Spits stunted on the past selection indoor show jumping by winning the 1m for C poneys and 1.10m for D poneys , was it this time our nephew Jorich Spits who won both classes. The honor for Jorich was even bigger,, because, this was the provincial championship LRV for Antwerp. This is the last season for Jorich with the poneys, he's 15 at this moment.
Now for a couple of years he's already a competitive combination with Galinka and Wolf. With Galinka Jorich managed to go 2x to the European championship Eventing. Last year in Arezzo he had a beautiful top 20 ranking. Jorich shows also this yea that he is in good chape.
In the 80cm class for B poneys with jump off over 90cm, we were very proud of the performances of our daughter Lauranne Spits. Lauranne, only 8 years old, made no faults on the fences with her ponies Tino and Saartje. She was placed on tlhe 8th and 10th place, and has got her selection to go to the national championships.
In the poney competition, there is also a style judge. Our son Thibeau Spits was good for a 2nd place in the style 1m with HighTrick, after Floor Anthonissen.
In the 1.10m style competition Thibeau was well rewarded with a 3rd (Sunny) and 5th place for Corne's Juliette.

Only one combination did it in the 1.10m competition clear in the Jump off. It was Jorich Spits with Galinka, who also had realized an excellent chrono. With Corné's Juliette Thibeau had chosen to go for the clear, but unfortunately that one fence down .. He was assigned to the 5th place. As a last combination Thibeau came in with Kadans vd Groenheuvel, our approved poney stallion.
In the jump off Thibeau still wanted to gamble at the time too. Perhaps he had taken a turn a little too sharp, and then too much confidence and not enough leg..

Patrick Spits was on Sunday afternoon at the same time on the CSI** in Lier. He hoped to have a good result in the Grand Prix with Withney. Withney jumped good but one fault hold them out of the jump off.. on Saturday was a nice 4th place for Va-Vite and our nephew Jeroen De winter in the 1.40m class.
Dolce Vita (Darco x Saygon) makes a successful international debut. She and Patrick finished 2nd on the 1.30m class. Her son Krezip Dwerse Hagen can make himself ready for the BWP-stallion expertise in Moorsele on 21 and 22 march.
