Wen, this weekend in Hulsterlo! Young horses, stallions and pro’s at work.
From Wednesday 6 February, Patrik jumps on the www.winterequestriannights.be. We start with the young horses; Donckervoort (5) and Hatlantic, Vichy DH Z and Valence DH Z at the 6-year-olds.
Later in the evening comes Feline (Querlybet x Isaura) in action. This 8-year-old mare was in the breeding-program before, and is engaged to a catch-up, where we like to give her the time for. For Feline there are currently no higher courses than 1.20 m.
Uletta (Cento Lano x Thunder vd Zuuthoeve) has meanwhile become 9, and jumps the 1.40 m courses on Thursday and Saturday. In the Grand Prix on Saturday night jumps Patrik with Comptesse vd Withoeve. As preparation she will also do on Thursday the 1.40 m.
Withney normally gets off this weekend. She will be back in action on the international three star-show in Bremen, from 1 to 3 March.
On Sundays, the 2nd round of the www.hengstencompetitie.be will be held in Hulsterlo. Patrik takes part with Honduras (Balouco) and Donckervoort (Whitaker). A few days ago I did an analysis about the first contest of the Stallion competition. We were rightly proud that we came already at 6 Ex-party auction stallions, which did it flawlessly over the obstacle. We must make a correction here, because there were no less than 7!
At the 6-year-old stallions, the chrono showed to be a problem for some riders. Similarly for Patrik with Honduras, which had 1 time fault. But as good was the time the stumbling block for Karel Olbrechts with the very powerful Can Remember under the saddle. And of course we may not forget the 6-year-old son of Diamant de Semilly in our list of credentials for our auction. If these 7 (Honduras, Can Remember, Caspar, Dilano, Carlsberg, Jonsaunier and Javel) do back just fine this Sunday, you can discover live in Hulsterlo or via www.horse-live.com .
