Our weekend 10 years "Groentenjumping" will be festive. Last year we started with the auction already our action in favor of the race against cancer.Also this year will this theme be central in our organization. The kick-off is given at the start of the auction.
We were for quite some time thinking what we could donate to charity. Not for everyone a horse or a pony is an option, if they don't have a stall or pasture for example.
Therefore a solution was searched, and found! Thanks to the assistance of fellow rider Guy Janssens, an autographed t-shirt was asked to Natalia (Belgian international singer), a good friend at the house of Guy and Daisy Janssens.
That Natalia has her heart in the right place, is certain. She said she was donating not just another t-shirt, but a dress that she has worn one of her gigs! In addition a signed photo, on which she is wearing that doily! Super cute idea, and particular gratitude to Natalia. The dressing is auctioned at the start of the auction for the benefit of race against cancer.
Because of her busy schedule, it is not certain that Natalia herself will be there, but then we will together provide a video message on Saturday. More info and pictures will follow in the course of the next weeks.
The action of race against cancer runs all weekend, with a flyer-action and raffle with valuable prizes. Per ticket purchased for raffle or completed flyer, is also 1 euro deposited for the benefit of the action “come on against cancer”. On Easter Monday April 1th there will be pony rides available in the afternoon, where we demand 2 euro per (big) tour.
1 euro is for the benefit of the pony-summer camps held by the club "Groentenjumping". The other euro also goes to the race against cancer.
On Monday evening about 6 pm, will an innocent child's hand get the prize winners. At that time, we will also be able to express how much the various actions in total have yielded.
