Our horses ; they can’t tell us… The diagnose for Withney.

We’ve put a lot of time and gave a lot of attention to the horses of the party auction and now we concentrate again on the sport.
In Calgary it became clear that Withney was not in top form. A while after that at the show in Wieze she wasn’t bad but not super either. But she tried really hard like we know her already for years. Withney always does her best. But then we had to go to Mechelen; in between Wieze and Mechelen we really concentrated on her and we thought she was ready. But in Mechelen it was clear she wasn’t feeling well because that level is normally very achievable for her and it seemed too difficult. We took the right decision to take her home and her substitute Cadjanine Z did it very well. (video of Cadjanine in World Cup and Grand Prix of Mechelen will soon be on-line)

But then we still stayed with the worry about Withney and that we wanted her to get better. On the advice of a college-rider we took some blood from Withney and examined it for the disease of Lyme. And it seemed that it was right because they found the disease of Lyme in her blood.

But no worries she can be treated for this disease without any problem. The disease is already a longer time in her blood and probably caused by a bite of a tick.
We can only hope that she recovers quickly and that she can be in good shape again for when the outdoor season starts.

Together with Cadjanine Z, Va-Vite, Cyber, Rapsody, Wrangler and the young horses we’ve got a nice and competitive stable.

The next weeks, we don't have any shows of 5 stars. Jos Lansink and Philippe Lejeune are this weekend the Belgian riders in CSI***** Basel.
