After the winter sport, the winterequestriannights from 10 until 13 of February…

It’s very quiet for the moment with the sport. We were also a little bit obligated because of the circumstances with the health problems of our better horses. It was not only Withney how made us worry but also Va-Vite seemed not in form. We feel in the training with Va-Vite that it’s going better these days and he’s winning some strength. He will be for sure seen back in the Grand Prix of the Winter Equestrian Nights in February. For Withney is not clear yet when she’ll be back in work, she’s not really improved yet. Staying calm is the message. Maybe it’s also necessary that Patrick is leaving on a ski holiday next week. All young people are going, he’s the only 40-year old one between the youth…

If he comes back he’ll be going straightaway to the competition in the Azelhof. The week after that he’s going on a training in Germany and then it’s the international competition in Gent (from 25 till 27 of February). First things first, we write down in our diary the Groentenjumping, our own national show, a new organisation to take care off. This year we will be organizing it over 2 weeks. The first weekend (from 1 till 3 of April) is reserved for the national classes (on the white sand arena) and the LRV classes (on the grass arena). That will be the ‘real vegetable show’ where’re whole team will be present! The second weekend (from 8 till 10 of April) will be a bit smaller, but as nice, for all the riders of the VOR (on the white sand arena).
We’re gradually recovered from the party auction, on to the next organization. In 2 weeks everything and the whole program will be on the website.

But first we’re going to pass by these Winter Equestrian Nights, where the organization is doing their utmost to make it a successful and nice show! In advance we choose to sponsor the class for 4 year old stallions on Friday evening. In November we were still thinking that it would be ‘our’ class. With the stallions Can Remember (Diamant x Cash), Cupido (Numero Uno x Padinus) and Caspar (Verdi x Ramiro), we thought we could mean something in this class. 2 months later it all appears differently. Cupido is recovering from an operation after an injury that he increased in December, Can Remember and Caspar can eventually compete for their other owners after the changes of owners they had at the party auction. We can also still put our hopes on Vondel DH Z from our brother in law Erik De Winter, he’s still our own breeding product from our stallion Va-Vite. In the other classes we will of course also put our best horses in…
