Carlsberg DH, son of Calido, to the stallions approval of Zangersheide.

Our first foal has been born; a daughter from Cupido (S. Numero Uno) and our Grand Prix horse Withney vd Dwerse Hagen. She is born in France, at the Stable of Paul van Leuven (Souvigny). The weather seems to be better there..

It's not always easy to find the name of our foals. Sometimes we can have a little help from our father Jos Ceulemans to find good names. He gave the name Carlsberg DH to a 3 years old son of Calido. This weekend he can go with Carlsberg to the stallion approval in Lanaken for studbook Zangersheide. Let's hope the jury will think he will probably be the best Sire of the World.. What's in a name..

We try to keep our 2 feet on the ground, and we will see how it goes. When he would be as succesful as his halfbrother Cayak DH, we would be already really happy.
Cayak stayed in our stable till the age of 8 years. He went with Eiken Sato to the World Championships (Aachen 2006) and the Olympic Games (2008).
Last Saturday Cayak started a new carreer with Jos Verlooy, son of Axel and Nena Verlooy (Eurohorses). It was really nice to see, a new combination has been born.

We have got another descendant of Calido at our stables, Ophelia. She has been riden by Inez de Balanda till 1.50m level. Our nephew Jeroen De Winter started riding Ophelia 2 weeks ago. It ended up already with a nice 4th place in a 1.20m class at the Winter Equestrian Nights. Normally they will compete this year in the (inter)national classes for Children.

But first, with our young stallion to the Stallions Approval. It will all start in Zangersheide Friday afternoon.
