The young riders are really important, but also young horses. They are the future of our stable.
One of our young promesses is Benfica van Vlieringen (Cento Lano x Lys de Darmen). Benfica is the halfsister of Vinca Major v Vlieringen (Dominard x Lys de Darmen), who became third in the CSI*** Grand Prix of Royan in 2009. Vinca Major has been in our stable for 3 years, and we still have her daughter Catalpa DH as a breeding mare.
We have sold Catalpa DH to her rider Pauline Guignery at the age of 6 years old. At the second place in the Grand Prix of Royan, another horse who came from our stable: Topinambour and Penelope Leprovost.
The success for our stable was complete that day, because Patrik Spits has won the Grand Prix with Red Star (Kannan x Cantus).
Because of an injury, Red Star couldn't stay in sport, but he started a carreer as an approved stallion.
We are giving it a try with our Benfica and Red Star.
On general demand of our riders, we will have the foal next year by transfert of embryos. Benfica is doing a good progress as a 4 years old, and she can't take any time off.
If everything will go like we 'll see it, she will have a wonderful carreer herself.
