This weekend, CHIO Aachen, Nations Cup on Thursday 14/7/11.

I want to appologize that i didn't have the chance earlier to make the translations. I was also in Falsterbo last week to support my husband Patrik Spits, and it wasn't easy to go on internet in the hotel.
I came back on Saturday morning, after the Nations Cup, our 4 children and 9 poneys were waiting for me.
We had to go on the show on Sunday.

But first, I will give you some more details about Falsterbö.

The most important classes were for sure the Nations Cup on Friday and the Grand Prix on Sunday.
It was just a lovely show, and a wonderful crowd to support the Swedish riders.

The Belgian team wasn't so succesful in the Nations Cup. We tried to do our very best with our mare Euphony Cadjanine Z. All went so fast for here, from jumping the classes for young horses till jumping this level.
Nevertheless, she jumps really good, but she's difficult to be controlled. Having control is really important on this level, to get the right distances.

In the first round, Cadjanine had just one fence down in the tripple combination, that wasn't bad at all, those 4 penalty points.

In the second round, she had another fault in the tripple combination, now the last obstacle of it.
She didn't touch it heard, but hard enough, it seems..
The second fault, she had on the vertical(1.65m) after the water. The distance wasn't perfect, and she couldn't jump it clear on that way.

Till now, Cadjanine makes her faults always in the second part of the course. Also in the Grand Prix. When she progresses in the course, she gets more difficilt to control, and then she makes her faults.
In the Grand Prix, the results wasn't good at all, but we can't say she didn't jump good.
She jumps a 1.60m class, like she jumps a 1.30m class. Now it's up to us, to try to get this control on a lower level.
Sometimes, it's not bad, to go one step behind, to go 2 steps forward.

We are at this moment not ready, and we can continue to work. We have got really nice horses, but they don't have enough experience on this top level.

This week, there is one of the finest showjumpings in the world, CHIO Aachen. We hope the Belgian team can do a good result, so we can try to forget that we didn't do better in Falsterbo.
We will support the Belgian team on Thursday, the 14th of July. For Belgium in Aachen: Rik Hemeryck, Jos Lansink, Philippe Lejeune, Judy-Ann Melchior and Dirk Demeersman
