Maurice Van Roosbroeck, Belgian Champion with Dylano, son of our Cento Lano!!

We are very proud, even though we may have a minimal contribution ...
The stallion Cento Lano is one of the favorits of our stable, in the sport always given the best of him self. But even as a Sire he may be very proud. He's the Sire of the new Belgian Champion, Dylano.
The true champion, that's Maurice Roosbroeck. He has had the courage, patience and the necessary skills to keep working and believing in Dylano.
Over the four rounds in the Belgian Championship, there was no fault at all. It was exciting until the last minute.
It was small against big, young against old. The 18-year-old Nicola Philippaerts was still in the lead, together with Maurice, after the 3th round. If there would have been clear round of Nicola and Carlos, there was a jump off for the gold and silver medals. On the 3th fence already it became clear that Nicola should have some patience for the champion title. He can be proud already with the silver medal, for sure he will be Belgian Champion more than once.

Patience, that Maurice has certainly had. His first title on the age of 50 years old.

A championship it 's something special. Patrick had the bad luck, just missing the finals.. So we stayed on the championship of the LRV ponies, where 6 of our grandchildren Ceulemans were taking part.
Also there we have seen some nice championships. In the highest pony class, Laurens Matthyssen became champion(Wall Street), for LRV Antwerp. In the series D l (Bram Bosch), B l (Max Sebrechts) and C l(Van Rompaey Yari), the titles seemed to be all for the province of Antwerp. We can mention that Maurice Roosbroeck has been for years one of the leading riders of LRV Antwerp.

If there are winners, there are losers .. Our own kids have done their very best.
Clear rounds for Mieke Ceuterick and Xander (7th in B l), and Kato.
Also clear rounds for Nathalie De Winter (Lucifer) and Thibeau Spits (Paco). Two of our children were so sure they can do something special in D l, and so they did..
Jorgen De Winter (Bolero) and Marnick Spits (Sunny).
Both ponies like to play the game, and can go very fast. Also Jorgen and Marnick always look for the quickest solution in a jump off. Often it works, but sometimes not .. Jorgen had just one refusal, because he had turned just to sharp to go to the combination, bad luck.
Marnick was going really hard, and had the chance to be the winner of the class, but he had problems before going to the last fence.. He wanted to turn before an other obstacle, to save time. Sunny is always looking together, but that quick turn, he did'nt expext. Marnick just lost his balance, and with two feet on the ground...
They have tried, and they were great in their loss. That's a lot!

The outdoor seasons for the ponies is finished now, it has been really nice, and we can be really satisfied about the progress our youngest riders have made.
For horses there is now Sunday is the national Championships, in Olmen. All eyes are focused on our nephew Jeroen De Winter. There was already a provincial title for Jeroen with Ziggy, a second place for Daskia .. Centolien(daughter of Cento Lano) can also participate with Jeroen Verschueren, after a good season and regular results.
Sunday we also know there the new national champions ..
