Twins Dora & Doortje; two cheeps will be sold for Charity; ,
The first week of January, then you can still wish happy New Year, best wishes and most important a good health. This was no different last year, with also the preparations for the Party Auction during that first week.There are always extra helping hands, and they are more than welcome. One of these team-players, got a few weeks after the Party auction in 2011, really bad news, she was suffering of breast cancer. Marleen, mother of 2 young children, knew what she had to do, to fight against it.
She has fought for, and it looks she's winning! Fortunately!
There are probably many stories to be found in your own family or friends, and we do all care.
Our neighbour, and famous breeder of the Hampshire Down studbook sheeps, gave us two really beautiful sheeps for the auction; the twin sisters Dora & Doortje vt Patershol will be sold for charity.
They are born on 23/02/2011. They are in a really good shape, and they look beautiful.
Saturday they will look even more beautiful, as they do today, as they will wear a Football shirt. Dora will be dressed in a Shirt of SK Lierse, Doortje has got the honnor to wear a shirt of KV Mechelen. We have ordered a extra extra large, so hopefully it will fit.. In the shop they did not know immediately what size should be provided for a sheep, it was an unusual question, they said.
We go one step further. Whoever buys the sheep, and would wish, to get a sweater on his / her size, we can ask the players of either SK Lierse, or KV Mechelen to sign that T-shirt.
The selling price from the sale of the sheeps is integral to the charity.
Sheep Dora will become the property of the new owner, after payment of the selling price on account of non-profit Naboram, an association that helps patients in their fight against cancer. Twin sister Doortje can go to his / her new owner when the sale price has been paid on the account of "Kom op tegen Kanker", an organisation who keeps on doing the right thing for helping people and doing research about threatment of cancer.
We will first sell some horses, and if we think we need a break, the sheeps can come in to be sold. We think we'll wait till 21.30 O'clock.
As a warm up of the auction, we have something unique, made and offered by Laurent Spits, father of Patrik.
Everyone knows them, and hardly anyone has it, the little beautiful obstacles; used by the children to jump over the fence. You can see it on the picture, where Patrik Spits and Jeroen De Winter are doing their very best.
The new fence is a really beautiful, pink, with the picture of Amika, most famous horse of the Flemish television. The little girls will just love it!
Also, this obstacle is to be auctioned for the benefit of "Kom op tegen Kanker".
And so we want to show that our heart is in the right place. Even with the auction of our horses, we have one goal in mind. Besides our arena the works have already started for a second arena, meant as a warming up. In our naberhood, there are not a lot of indoor arena's to organise the regional show jumpings. We have given the possibility for LRV, organisation for amateur riders, to organise a few regional shows in our riding school. The riders will be grateful, when they can use this new and dry place to do the warming up.The riders competing with their poneys on 14th of January, and with the horses the day after, will be grateful to the buyers of our horses, without whom we could not realize such projects.
Be welcome, be on time. Because of bad weather it will be difficult for all cars to park in the naberhood of the stables in the Hageweg, St-Katelijne-Waver. We may utilize the parking of Delhaize supermarket on the corner of the Leliestraat and Berlaarbaan, 2860 St-Katelijne-Waver. If everyone, could bring first the passengers to the stable, before parking the car at the Delhaize Supermarket, we can help to bring the drivers to the stable. We will make sure there will be shuttles riding during the evening. Thanks for your cooperation!
