Studforlife.com reports that Gregory Wathelet has been given a new chance to aim for the London Olympics; Cadjanine Z. After losing the ride on his winning horse in Mechelen’s World Cup qualifier Copin van de Broy, the chances of riding at the Olympics looked slim for Wathelet. But a grand gesture from Patrick Spits have altered everything; Spits has produced Cadjanine Z (Canabiz Z x Feinschnitt I Z) to five star level but found that their chances of riding at the Olympic Games were thin. Spits and Cadjanine Z’s co-owner Julien Hens thus decided that it would be better to find another solution to the mare which they believe has the capacity to jump at the Games.

Earlier this week Gregory Wathelet tried the powerful 10 year old, and it was a very successful trial. A great story; and proof that the Belgian riders stick together and stand up for each other.
