Gregory Wathelet and Cadjanine Z, beautiful to see !

Last Friday afternoon, it was the first big test for Cadjanine Z. We could see her jumping with her new rider Gregory Wathelet in the FEI-ranking class, in Vejer de la Frontera. For Patrik Spits, it was a special feeling, to see his horse for the first time with Gregory. He was really happy afterwoods to see that they have become a combination. With a nice clear round in that 1.50m class, Gregory was qualified for the Grand Prix. (This video will also be soon on our website). On Sunday, Cadjanine jumped the Grand Prix. They had just one fence down in a difficult class. She ended up on a 15th place. Gregory was also really pleased with the way Cadjanine was jumping. On his official website, we can read it also, that he can appreciate the quality of Cadjanine.
We would like to thank Gregory for his good work and for sure also groom Axelle for the way she takes care of Cadjanine. Next weekend, she has got a weekend off. The weekend of 23-25 March, she'll jump the 4-stars competition in Vejer. When everything's OK, Cadjanine can join Gregory to the Global Champions Tour in Doha, the weekend of Eastern (4-6 April 2012).

We keep a little closer to home. In a few weeks, we have got to organise our national show: Groentenjumping, or translated into English: The Vegetable Horse show...
We do have some ideas gained in Vejer de la Frontera. It is an incredible organization, they have thought about almost everything, really beautiful. If we ever want to realise those ideas, it becomes a long process. When we will have organised our showjumpings in April, we can start thinking about a planning on long-term. In the short term I can promise that this Thursday the entire program will come on-line. We were waiting on green lights for our program, from the official Belgian federation.

Where we also hope for a green light, and really important, that will be at the stallions approval this week. We have some special horses stabled, but Jumperhens is very special. His Dam is the 30-year-old Fatima. This year is the time taken by BWP to visit the dams of the candidate stallions. They didn't expect for sure a lot from a mare of 30 years old, but Fatima (daughter of Feinschnitt) is no ordinary mare. She is still beautiful, she still moves great, and she is Dam of many Grand Prix horses. Fatima herself has also successfully participated in international competitions. Rider Luc Leemans still remembers her as very talented. Her most famous son is Sandokan, who with Bert Prouve had good results on Nations Cup level. Her most famous daughter is our Cadjanine Z. Fatima gave birth herself to Jumperhens (s. Clinton) 3 years ago. He became her last foal, but certainly not least. In Moorsele it went wrong in loose jumping for Jumperhens, but the judge wanted to give him a second chance. We hope that tomorrow he shows what he can. If it's good enough, Jumperhens can stay in Neeroeteren till Saturday, to do the test under the saddle.

And if he would be approved, then we'll just be really really happy. If not, then we know we have just a great horse, and nothing should change for us. Then it's a missed opportunity. In any case, Jumperhens can take from next week on a few months of holiday. It's not easy for such a young horse to get used to jump under the saddle, in such a short period.

The BWP approval starts on Wednesday 14 March, the most important day will be Saturday, March 17. Saturday evening in the Warre (Neeroeteren), we will also participate with our approved stallions Donckervoort and Cupido DH in the final of the stallions competition.
