Gregory Wathelet and Cadjanine obtained their selection for the Olympics

Formerly we also looked forward to the new rankings. Meanwhile we found rest in this. The last 5 years, Patrik stood almost continuously in the top 200 of the FEI ranking. This is necessary to be able to obtain selections for international competitions.
Patrik remains particularly motivated, but realizes that participation in 5-star shows is not an issue for now.
We have enough nice horses, and performing good on 3-star shows brings us also certainly satisfaction. Let’s hope that we may succeed this weekend including in Vichy (France). We can also be satisfied with the success of someone else.
The most recent FEI-ranking makes it clear that Gregory Wathelet continues to make a clear climb. He has meanwhile risen to the 22nd place !
In any case, we are incredibly pleased that Gregory Wathelet succeeded in obtaining his goal. In less than 200 days he has obtained a selection for the Olympics with Cadjanine Z. Moreover, it is the first time that the now 31-year-old Gregory will take part in the Olympics. We sincerely hope that he also may enjoy.
It all starts on the 4th of August with the 1st individual qualification. On August 5, the 1st round of the nations cup is programmed. If the Belgians endure this well, there is the final of the nations cup on the 6th of August. The final for the individual participants is provided on August 8.
Of course we are like 1 man behind the whole team; also competing for Belgium are Dirk Demeersman, Jos Lansink and Philippe Lejeune. Olivier Phillipaerts goes as reserve-rider to London.
Before the Olympic Games begin, the Belgians still have some important appointments. This weekend there is the following round in the Top Series; in the Swedish Falsterbo.
Last year was Patrik competed there with Cadjanine. The team that now is going to Falsterbo consists of Ludo Philippaerts, Donaat Brondeel, Dominique Joassin, Nicola Philippaerts and Koen Vereecke.
