Veneto DH Z, son of Va-Vite and Withney DH, qualified for the World Championship of young horses

There were 5 wild cards for the World Championship young horses awarded to the 5-and 6-year-old horses, enscripted in the Studbook Zangersheide. This world championship is held in September on the domain of Zangersheide in Lanaken, a competition which every breeder looks out to.
After the first 2 manches in June, Veneto DH Z still had a lot of chance of achieving such a wanted Wild Card.
And Veneto did very well this weekend. The 5-year-old son of Va-Vite and Withney DH (v. Codex x Feo) did it fine. With 2 double clear rounds on Saturday and again on Sunday, he takes the 3rd place in the final standings. The Wild card is therefore more than deserved.
More info and the rankings via the link. You can see also that our mare Valetta DH Z (Va-Vite x Thunder vd Zuuthoeve, half sister of Uletta), is one of our future stars. She was 5th in the 4th qualification on Sunday. Valetta has got all the scope, is top careful. We'll see how far she can get with those qualities.

Participation in a championship is already quite something, achieving a medal is then again another pair of sleeves. That was proved this weekend also in Fontainebleau. The pony riders, ponies and parents have however done their utmost. They remained not spared of bad luck, and saw at crucial moments pass a medal to someone else. We have seen it ourselves how wonderful this European Championships were organized at Fontainebleau, and what high level the pony riders obtained.
For our 13-year-old cousin, Jorich Spits, it was also a whole experience on his first participation in a European Championship eventing. Maybe he was disappointed that he sustained himself 2 refusals on the road, but he safely reached the finish. That in itself was already no easy task...
After a long time of no contests, our pony riders go next week for their next tournament to Lichtaart, on Sunday July 29th.
For Patrik, the contest in Beervelde is on the agenda. Our Lady Mc Beth (Limbus x Carthago) announced today in Moerzeke that she is in fine form. Although she got 1 fault in the barrage of the 1.40 m GP, good for a 9th place. Profit was for Eiken Sato, for Wilm Vermeir, Tom Dhaeyere, Thomas De Wit and Hanne Mertens.
The Flanders Horse Event starts on Thursday July 26th. Withney and Va-Vite, the proud parents of Veneto DH Z, go certainly to Beervelde. Most likely Lady Mc Beth accompanies them.
