The Euphony Six Bars was jumped with artificial lights, and immediately knew a serious culling in the first round.
Only 8 riders of the 19 participants knew to keep the zero on the scoreboard. Patrik also knew that for him the first round would be the hardest, with our Withney.
Power is not a problem, but the horses had to jump away from the exit, to a reasonably dark corner, in the direction of a large screen. The first round she kept her body a bit stuck, but the zero was a fact.
Then Withney came loose, and before we knew it, we were in the 4th round. Still 3 combinations cleared the jump of 1.95 m. Eiken Sato decided not to start in the 4th round, and was satisfied with the 3rd place. In the Euphony Six bars Patrik must nevertheless try to go to the extreme for his sponsor Euphony.
He would still attempt to jump with Withney over the vertical of 2.05, just as Thiago Ribas da Costa of Starhorses. In Vichy Withney managed to jump 2.05 m, but now there was a fault ... We were very satisfied already.
Her performance would afterwards still prove sufficient for the shared victory. Also Don Camillo had with his rider Thiago Ribas Da Costa a fault on the vertical of 2.05 m, and so they were both declared the winners of the competition.
Eiken Sato was 3th. The brother of Eiken Sato is staying in London these days, for participation in the eventing. According to Eiken, he could deliver a surprise. Only dressage and jumping are his lesser components, but he should be particularly strong in the cross country ... Whether that is sufficient to threaten our Belgian participants that we will know soon!
We like to follow London from a distance. Still for now. When Cadjanine has to jump, we will go there to cheer wildly.
Now our attention goes completely to the show in Beervelde.
On Friday Withney gets rest. Va-Vite will jump the qualification for the Grand Prix. Withney starts back to jump on Saturday, during the small GP, also the 2nd qualification for the GP.
