Pieter Kenis or Matthias Hens; good results in Gesves.

Last weekend was a weekend on which a lot will be talked about. This year it was striking that no weak country sat in the Superleague. The countries were matched, and then we knew that it would be a thriller, or a lottery in Dublin... Notwithstanding the ex aequo 5th place on Friday, Belgium would still be relegated ... Also for Sweden it looks not so good. There should be new rules created for the next season in the Super League, but whether these new rules bring a solution, we will see it.
About rules, no doubt, they have spoken in Gesves a lot at the Championship of the 6-year-old horses.
Both Pieter Kenis, as Matthias Hens have delivered a peak performance in Gesves. Top favorite Yves Vanderhasselt rode a fine barrage with Gladys, world champion last year at the 5-year-olds. Pieter and Matthias both have their roots in the LRV of Antwerp. Quick boys, who still knew to improve the time of Yves.
First Pieter Kenis was proclaimed as champion, silver was for Matthias, bronze for Yves Vanderhasselt.
After 5 minutes the jury came back on this decision, because Pieter Kenis would have made a circle, and thereby he crossed his line, with 4 penalty points.
Where no discussion is, that's about the fact that our Jeroen De Winter has become Champion at the 4-year-old horses. Together with Illuna van het Netehof (Casall x Darco), and 5 other combinations, he kept the double clear in the final, and they have achieved the title "elite".
Jonas Vervoort had 1 fault with Carabas DH (v. Caretino) in the base course in the final of the 5-year-old horses, yet a creditable Championship for Carabas.
Who has done it also fine again, that's our Lady Macbeth DH in the French Macon. On Friday she was with Patrik 4th in the 1.45 m test. Va-Vite answered back on this female violence, and he did even better on Saturday with a third place in the 1.45 m test.
On Sunday, he was a little bothered by the heat, and 3 errors in the Grand Prix for Va-Vite ... Bad Luck.
Next weekend Jeroen may count on Va-Vite for the courses of the Gold League in Vilvoorde.
Patrik goes on the show to Verbier (Switzerland) with Withney DH, Lady Mcbeth DH and Comptesse vd Withoeve.
This weekend there were quite a few shows. On Saturday the largest prize pool was divided in the Grand Prix of the Global Champions Tour in Valkenswaard. Results via the link. On a 10th place we see Eric Lamaze with his Coriana vh Klapscheut. Since 2 months we are the proud owners of Luriana vh Klapscheut, a half-sister of this Coriana, with father Elvis Ter Putte. The road is still long, Luriana is currently still a yearling.
