The titles in Nieuwpoort for Leen Verwimp, Jorien Livens and Leonie Peeters!

We followed it up close in Nieuwpoort. There is talent in our country. The Belgian Championship of the Amazons was won by Jorien Livens with Connassis vd Helle. Jorien is also part of LRV Kontich, where our children are also connected.
Jorien and our nephew Jeroen De Winter have often competed against each other in the pony categories. Both have worked hard for it, and now they can reap from that bet. Jeroen was this weekend jumping on the Gold Leaugue competition at Zandhoven. On Saturday he was good for a 4th place in the 1.40 m trial with Va-Vite.
Our children Marnick and Thibeau Spits were active in Nieuwpoort. Thibeau did it fine with Sunny; each day he was double clear.
The cup of Belgium for Scholars was still a bit for over-ambitious for Marnick. In the consolation he did beautiful rounds with Uriano St Benoit and Bijou and we look back on a rich learning experience. There are some Scholars who do exceptionally well, and are totally not impressed with high or wide obstacles. The cup of Belgium for Scholars is won by Leen Verwimp. The silver and bronze were for Marie Bonet and Zoe Conter. Zoe also picked up the silver medal on the BK of the Amazons in Nieuwpoort.
Then there was another important Belgian Championship, that of the ponies. In the final we saw the 7-year-old pony Amethist, formerly ridden by Jeroen De Winter, yet now under the saddle of Kobe Hendrickx. For Kobe it was also his first participation, and in the final he had a few faults, but this combination will definitely show us nice things in the future
The gold, silver, and bronze went to experienced duos. For the 2nd year in a row is the bronze is for Laurens Mathyssen and Winnetou de Semilly. The title went to Leonie Peeters who made no fault on the whole Championship with Kyra. Romy Morsinckhof and Diamond conquered the silver after a barrage with Laurens Mathyssen.
Via the link you can find the results of the Gold League in Zandhoven. On Friday Nico Vanderplaetsen was good for a 2nd place with Wrangler in the 1.20 m test. Also on Sunday, they jumped in the prices in the 1.25 m test.
The Grand Prix CSN Zandhoven was won by Sven Van Dijck.
Patrik and his horses had a rest this weekend. He leaves this week to France. From 6 to 9 September he will compete in Castres. The horses will continue then for the nice 3-star show in Villeneuve Sur Lot (from 13 till 16 September).
