Proud of Withney, 5 finals on 5 participations in the belgian Championship.

On Saturday night the new Belgian champion seniors will be known.
Via the annex you can find the provisional rankings.
Withney is in the final!! It is been yesterday nail biting until the last obstacle ... So far it's been an exciting Championship, with some surprises. There could not go wrong too much to qualify for the final.
In the first round, a hunting trail, Patrik and Withney had to start first.
Not immediately an advantage, but Patrik decided to go immediately for the time also. A good decision, because in the course, there was one fault, for which were counted 4 penalty seconds.
The trial was won by Rik Hemeryck with Papillon Z. The time of Rik was decisive for the penalty points. The difference in time was shared in 2, so we arrived at 7.50/2 = 3.75 points.
The second round could start not worse for Patrik. Immediately a fault on obstacle 1! We knew that for the rest not the least error could be afforded, to go to the final.
Patrik and Withney could finish the rest of the trail good. With their total of 7.75 points, they are still good for the provisional 11th place, within the first 16 who can go to the final.
In advance we would have signed for this final place, but of course there is also a slight disappointment with that fault of yesterday, on the simplest hurdle.
We are really very proud of the way Withney has done her job so far.
With a good feeling we look forward to that final on Saturday evening. For us there is nothing to lose, a podium place also seems to be no longer feasible. Just trying to perform well, and enjoy an exciting Championship.
For Dirk Demeersman, who currently leads the rankings with Bufero, it would be his 1st Belgian Championship title. 2 more important courses to go!
Almost was Veneto DH, son of Withney with Va-Vite, also qualified for the final to the 5-year-olds. Unfortunately that one mistake in the 2nd qualification, after a faultless first round.
Valetta DH (Va-Vite x Thunder vd Zuuthoeve) remained even though faultless in the first circulation to the 5-year-olds. She cleared all the fences, along with Jonas Vervoort, once again during the 2nd round. We like to see Jonas and Valetta back Sunday morning in the final of the World Championship of the 5-year-old horses!
