In times of crisis; barter. 15 camels for a horse...
The past weekend was not top, but the horses gave a confirmation. There is a lot of interest for Umosa and Comptesse from abroad, even though trade is not top priority. We continue to enjoy their sportive efforts.A lot of trade is done at the bar. Usually, this happens in euros, but in times of crisis there is apparently thought back to barter. By the political situation in Iran, their currency is not worth much anymore. There was therefore thought about camels, in exchange for a horse.
Provisionally nor Comptesse, nor Umosa are leaving in exchange for camels.
I would think that there are a lot of camels to be found in Abu Dhabi. Next weekend the top of the world jumps there in the final of the Global Champions Tour, so also many top horses are present in Abu Dhabi.
Even though there is no real auction in January 2013, there is one horse present in Abu Dhabi, ex-auction 2011.
Our auction-Ambassador Zafir is competing under the saddle of Jérome Hurel.
If we succeed in organizing a 3-star international show, Jérome has confirmed his participation on our show with Easter 2013, and we can celebrate Zafir in an appropriate way.
